MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak on Friday called on the G20 group of the world’s largest economies to join the efforts of the group of major oil producers, OPEC +, to stabilize energy markets.
He also proposed to create a committee to coordinate actions aimed at stabilizing the energy market.
“A package of measures on production cuts, aimed at stabilizing the market, has been agreed in the form of OPEC + … The role of the G20 is seen as a global support for these efforts,” said Novak during of the G20 energy ministries online conference.
