Before Halloween 2020, Grateful Dead HQ revisits the band’s three-set stop on 10/31/80 at Radio City Music Hall with an acoustic “Ripple”.
“One of Grateful Dead’s most beloved songs, ‘Ripple’ was one of many american beauty», Explained David Lemieux, former manager / archivist of GD. “It was played 11 times from 1970 to 1971, then dropped until it came back in 1980, played as a closing song every night during the Dead’s acoustic sets. He made one final appearance on 3/9/88 in Landover, MD, before being retired for good.
Previously, Lemieux and company shared a pro clip of “Fire On The Mountain” from the same show.
