Cayuga County Health Department officials will no longer release possible public exposures to the coronavirus because Covid-19 has become so prevalent, officials said on Saturday.
Other counties that have previously made the same decision are Onondaga County and Madison County.
Each of the three counties encouraged those coming out to protect themselves each with a mask.
“There is a risk of exposure anytime we go out in public,” Cayuga County Director of Public Health Kathleen Cuddy said in a statement on Saturday, “especially now with increased community spread. of COVID-19 and the increase in the number of cases.
