Ethereum 2.0 confirmed for December 1 launch hours ahead of deadline
The genesis of the Eth2 beacon chain was confirmed for December 1 following the transfer of 524288 Ether (ETH) of 16,384 validators in Eth2 deposit contract since it went live on November 4.
Despite early concerns about the low stake in staking, transfers to the deposit contract increased rapidly over the past day, with over 200,000 ETH sent to the contract in the past 14 hours.
