Forbes’ 35th Annual World Billionaires List is topped by Amazon CEO and founder Jeff Bezos for the fourth consecutive year.
India has the third most billionaire world after the US and China, according to a new list of prestigious Forbes magazine, which says Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has taken his place as Asia’s richest man by toppling Chinese business tycoon Jack Ma back was the richest man in the region.

The US has 724 billionaires more than any other country in the world (up from 614 last year). China is closing the gap with 698 billionaires, up from 456 last year.
“As a result of China’s accomplishments, Beijing is home to more billionaires than anywhere else in the world, overtaking New York,” Forbes said.
India has the third largest number of billionaires with 140, followed by Germany with 136 and Russia with 117.
Forbes reported that the 1,149 billionaires from the Asia-Pacific region combined are worth $ 4.7 trillion, and the fortunes of the US billionaires are $ 4.4 trillion.
The richest woman this year is French cosmetics heiress Françoise Bettencourt Meyers, who ranks 12th with a net worth of $ 73.6 billion.

There are 106 people under 40 on the global list. India’s top ten billionaires include DMart founder Radhakishan Damani, Kotak Mahindra Bank CEO Uday Kotak, ArcelorMittal executive chairman Lakshmi Mittal, Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Sun Pharmaceuticals founder Dilip Sunghvi, and Bharti Enterprises founder and chairman.
