Qatar Raises OSP Differential for May Marine Crude Oil 15 Cents Per Barrel From Previous Month

Qatar Petroleum has raised the May official difference in Marine and Land oil prices by 15 cents a barrel and 5 cents a barrel, respectively, since April, according to a posting on its website on April 9.

The May OSP difference for Qatar Marine was set at $ 1.05 a barrel, compared to Platts Dubai and Platts Oman’s average crude oil per month of shipment, up from 90 cents a barrel in April.

Qatar Land’s OSP differential for May was set at 80 cents a barrel, up from Platts’ average oil estimates in Dubai and Oman in the month of shipment, up from 75 cents a barrel in April.

April OSP differentials for both grades were the highest since August 2020, according to S&P Global Platts.

Qatar Petroleum has been issuing OSP differentials on a forward-looking basis since March 2020, prior to which its OSPs were set on a retrospective basis.
