May 4 (Reuters). As of Tuesday morning, the United States had injected 247,769,049 doses of COVID-19 vaccine into the country and distributed 318,474,035 doses, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Tuesday.
Those numbers are up from the 246,780,203 doses of the vaccine that the CDC said went on sale by Monday out of 312,509,575 doses delivered.
The agency said 147,894,671 people received at least one dose, while 106,168,588 were fully vaccinated as of Tuesday.
The CDC’s roster includes two-dose vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer / BioNTech, as well as a single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine as of 6:00 am ET Tuesday.
The agency said a total of 7,802,685 doses of vaccine were administered in long-term care facilities. (Reporting by Trisha Roy from Bangalore)
