JSW Steel announced on Thursday that crude steel production in May 2021 was 13.67 million tonnes. The average capacity utilization in May 2021 was 91%.
Crude steel production increased 10% from 12.48 million tonnes recorded in the same month a year earlier.
Of the total crude steel production, flat-rolled products amounted to 9.99 thousand tons, an increase of 10% YoY, while long products amounted to 3.09 thousand tons, an increase of a whopping 55% YoY.
JSW Steel reported that capacity utilization remained at 91% in May 21, as supplies of liquid oxygen for medical purposes in May 21 amounted to more than 30,000 tons for medical purposes from the company’s steel facilities throughout India, compared with more than 20,000 tons in April 21.
At around 10:46 am, JSW Steel was trading at Rs 711.45 apiece, up Rs 13.50 or 1.93% on Sensex.
