ELON, North Carolina – A total of 20 Elon University baseball players are competing in the summer league this summer. Phoenix members are on teams in the Appalachian, Cal Ripken, Coastal Plains, Futures, MLB Draft, New England, Northwoods, Perfect Game, Prospect, Valley, and Sunset leagues.
Cole Reynolds hitting .125 (1 in 8) with two runs and six walks in four appearances for the Burlington Puppets. He went 1-for-2, walked twice and scored once, 11-5 to Danville Otterbots on June 6. The team currently scores 3-4 points in matches played on June 10th.
Cal Ripken League
Connor Offshack with the Aces of Alexandria in the Cal Ripken League. He has a .308 average (4 out of 13) with two doubles and four RBIs in three games played. Offshack kicked off its summer with a 3 of 5 match against DC Grays on June 9th. The Berwyn, PA native doubled up and rode four rounds to help a pivotal 13-5 win. At the start of the weekend, the aces are 2: 1, and their play is scheduled for the Bethesda Big Train on Saturday at 19:00.
League of Coastal Plains
Willie Havens as well as Ian Evans both at Tri-City Chili Peppers. Havens is hitting .136 (3 out of 22) with two home runs, four runs, four RBIs and one walk. He went 2-for-5 with the long ball in a 9-7 defeat to the Morehead City Marlins on June 1. Evans is still hoping to make his first appearance on the pitch. The Chili Peppers have 2-5 points and will play the Peninsula Pilots on Friday.
Also playing in the Eastern League Division with the Holly Springs Salamanders Ben Simon… The East Windsor, New Jersey native started on May 30 against Wilmington Sharks. He allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks, recording one strikeout over 4.0 innings. The Salamanders are in second place in the division’s 6-2 standings and are playing doubleheader at the Asheboro Copperheads on Friday.
League of futures
Tristan Corcoran claims to be the Silver Knights of Nashua in the League of the Future. He is currently 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA in two appearances and allowed two runs on five hits over 3.0 innings of relief. His other totals include four outs and zero ball bases. The Silver Knights have 4-7 points now and will play the Westfield Starfires on Friday.
MLB Draft League
Joe Spray has yet to appear for Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League. The team holds a 7-4-2 record and will play three Williamsport Crosscutters games this Friday-Sunday.
Collegiate New England Baseball League
Anthony Galason bounces 0.167 (2 of 12) with three stolen bases for the Bristol Blues (1-5). He hit 2 of 4 and won two bags in a 4-0 defeat to Martha’s Vineyard Sharks on June 9. Blues will play Danbury Westerners this Saturday.
Speaking of Danbury, Noah Jensen made two matches for Westerners (1-4) and 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA. He struck out all three hitters he faced on June 10 at Martha’s Vineyard. He then allowed one run for two hits and a walk against the Valley Blue Sox on June 5. Jensen has two knockouts in 2.0 innings. The team plays Ocean State Waves on Friday.
Parker Haskin proves to be the best hitter for the Upper Valley Nighthawks (4-1). He leads the team with a .600 clip (6 out of 10) and adds one double, five runs, four RBIs, seven walks and two stolen bases to his total. The Palm Beach Gardens, Florida native played two multiplayer games this summer and will take on Keene Swamp Bats 2: 2 on June 4. The Nighthawks will host the North Shore Navigators this Saturday and the Swamp Bats on Sunday.
Will Vergantino as well as Trevor Kirk play for Winnipasok Muskrat (3-3). Vergantino is hitting .263 (5 of 19) with one home run, five runs, three RBIs, two walks and five stolen bases. Vergantino helped the Muskrats to a 10-6 victory at the Sanford Mainers on June 4 when he beat 2-for-4 with a three-way homer. On June 10, in a match with the navigators, he managed to strike to help the muskrats win with a score of 8-7. He finished 2 of 5 and bounced back one day. On the mound, Kirk is 1-1 and has one save in two games. Over the course of 4.0 innings, he did not allow a run and gave up one hit and two walks, knocking out four. He won a save game against the North Adams SteepleCats 6-1 on June 3. Muskrats will host Vermont Mountaineers on Friday and Mainers on Sunday.

Alex Iadisernia has a .261 average (6 of 23) in six games with Madison Mallards (5-6). He made one home run, two doubles, scored three times, passed three times and walked four times. He started his summer with a couple of outings 2-4 June 5-6. On Friday, mallards are on the road to the Wisconsin Rapids.
League of the Perfect Game
Bryce Jeske played in three games for the Dutchman Albany (3-3) and batters .125 (1 in 8) with double, two runs, two walks, one RBI and one stolen base. He doubled in a 1-4 match at the Amsterdam Mohawks on June 4th. The next meeting for the Dutch will be with the Saugerties Stallions on Friday.
Justin Cassella owns a 0.143 clip (1 out of 7) in three games played for the Glens Falls Dragons (1-4). His other results for the season include one run, four bases on balls and one bag. Dragons play DiamondDawgs in Mohawk Valley on Friday.
Justin Needles plays for Alton River Dragons (5-6) from the Prairie Land Prospect League. He is 0-1 with a 4.76 ERA in three games and one start so far. The Vinkot, PA native has had eight races (six earned), eight hits, and eight walks. Needles tallied six outs in 11.1 tossed innings, including four outs in 3.1 innings on May 28 against Terre Haute REX. The River Dragons are hosting the Quincy Gems on Friday.
Carlos Marthe, Ben Seraki as well as Liam Dabagyan are teammates with Harrisonburg Turks (2-0). Marthe went perfectly 2-for-2 and in both series won 2-1 over New Market Rebels in the second doubleheader game on June 6. Dabagyan has appeared once so far, allowing two hits and one step. 0.2 innings in the first game of a doublehead. Seraki started on June 8 against the Waynesboro Generals, but the game was postponed due to lightning in the area. Turks and generals are due to play on Friday at 19:00.
Sunset Baseball League
Wyatt beddow and the Inland Valley Bucs will kick off their season next Tuesday June 15th against the Colton Nighthawks.
