iPhone 16 release rumor indicates Apple is planning a deadly attack on Samsung – PhoneArena

Apple is currently in a somewhat precarious position. The company is struggling in China and playing catch-up in AI. It also doesn’t help that the iPhone 16 is rumored to be a small upgrade over the iPhone 15. The company reportedly wants to play on the popularity of its smartphones in South Korea to challenge the dominance of Samsung on its territory. Apple phones are launched in waves in different countries around the world. South Korea is not usually in the first group of countries where a new iPhone is released. One reason for this is that electronic products marketed in Korea must be certified by the National Radio Research Agency, and at this point the likelihood of a device’s specifications being leaked is high. Since Apple is a secret company, this is not the case. I don’t like to take the risk of product information being leaked before launch. She could act more boldly this year.

Korea ETNews reports that for the first time since 2009, South Korean buyers will be among the first to get their hands on the iPhone16.

The information was passed on by South Korean carriers who refused to deny the rumor, but do not openly admit that South Korea is among the markets in which the iPhone16 will be published first.

The report also suggests that iPhone16 will be released around early to mid-September. For reference, the iPhone 15 was released on October 13 in South Korea, weeks after sales began on September 22 in primary markets.

Apple is eager to increase its dominance in the market and with reports that young people in South Korea prefer iPhones over Galaxy smartphones, the strategy could help it win over those who might switch back to Samsung due to the focus focused on AI features.
