KARACHI: Domestic and international gold prices rose sharply as the precious metal was traded in Pakistan at Rs 114,150 per tola, ARY NEWS reported.
According to Muhammad Arshad, chairman of the Pakistani Association of Jewelry Manufacturers, the price of the precious yellow metal has increased by 700 rupees and is now worth 114,150 rupees.
Likewise, he added, the value of 10 grams of the precious metal rose by 600 rupees to 97,865 rupees.
International gold rates
Gold edged lower on Friday, according to a Reuters report as the dollar strengthened on interest rate hikes, but bullion remains held above the key $ 1,750 tech support level on track for a slight weekly gain as concerns over inflation and economic growth negatively affects risk sentiment.
